Hai Duong's processing and manufacturing sector exceeds Q1 growth target
Hai Duong's processing and manufacturing sector grew by 17.5% in the first quarter of 2025, exceeding the set target of 14.7%.
Hai Duong's industrial production index in the first quarter of 2025 increased by 13% compared to the same period in 2024, reported the Department of Industry and Trade.
In particular, the processing and manufacturing sector was one of the main growth drivers with an increase of 17.5%, exceeding the set target of 14.7%.
Some products recorded excessive production results, such as automobile assembly and animal feed with 7,663 units and over 654,000 tons, 5% and 2.6% higher than targets, respectively.
A number of new projects and production expansion ones coming into operation were the main reasons for the high growth rate of the processing and manufacturing sector, including projects of the limited liability companies of Guangxun Vietnam Electronics Technology, Bonsen Vietnam Creative Technology, Sumiden Vietnam Automotive Wire, and Ducar Vietnam Technology.
In the coming time, the Department of Industry and Trade will coordinate with other bodies to review and urge the implementation progress of approved projects and the construction of industrial clusters’ infrastructure; closely monitor the situation, improve forecasting capabilities, and provide market signal information to help businesses, organizations, and individuals quickly grasp market developments to adjust production and business activities accordingly...
