Strong cold wave forecast to hit Hai Duong near Lunar New Year festival
A strong cold wave is forecast to hit Hai Duong province around January 26 – 28, the days just before Tet (Lunar New Year) festival.
The weather in Hai Duong province is forecast to be rainless by night and sunny by day on January 20 and 21 as cold air remains stable and then gradually weakens.
However, it will still cold, especially at night and early in the morning, with temperature ranging between 13 and 23 degrees Celsius, according to the provincial Hydrometeorological Station.
The cold air is expected to rapidly weaken and move eastward from January 22 – 25, resulting in light fog and rain in some places at night and in the morning, but sunshine at noon and in the afternoon.
Daily temperature in the province will gradually increase to 15 – 24 degrees Celsius, but it will still be cold, forecasters say.
Another strong cold wave is likely to hit the province around January 26 and 27, making it colder and cloudy with scattered rain or drizzles.
Cold air is predicted to become stronger from January 28, resulting in extremely cold weather from night till morning, with temperature fluctuating between 13 and 21 degrees Celsius.
