Hai Duong public servants to have nine 2025 Lunar New Year days off
During the 2025 public holidays, agencies and units in Hai Duong province will arrange on-duty departments to continuously handle work, ensuring good service to organizations and people.
The People's Committee of Hai Duong province has announced the 2025 public holiday schedule in the locality.
Accordingly, cadres, public servants, and employees of public service agencies, political organizations, and socio-political organizations will have nine days off for the Lunar New Year holiday, from January 25 to February 2, two days more than last year’s holiday.
Laborers will also enjoy five days off for the Reunification Day-Labor Day holiday, from April 30 to May 4, and four days off for the National Day holiday, from August 30 to September 2.
Employees not included in the above categories are entitled to five days off for the Lunar New Year holiday and two days off for the National Day holiday.
If the holidays fall on weekly days off, employees will be entitled to extra leave as compensation in accordance with the Labor Code. Employers must notify employees of their holiday plans at least 30 days in advance.
During the public holidays, agencies and units in the province shall arrange on-duty departments according to regulations with reasonable working to continuously handle jobs, ensuring good service to organizations and people, the provincial People’s Committee noted.
Agencies and local authorities should have specific and appropriate plans and measures to encourage units, businesses, organizations, and individuals to actively and proactively carry out production, business, and socio-economic activities to ensure stable supply and demand of goods, services, prices, and markets, contributing to promoting production, business, and economic growth.
