The project to build the East-West trunk-road of Hai Duong province is being carried out from 2021 to 2024 by the provincial Construction and Investment Project Management BoardThe 36.6 km long route passes through three districts of Thanh Mien, Ninh Giang and Tu Ky. The starting point of the East-West trunk-road intersects with provincial road 392C and links with a bridge across the Chanh river in Doan Ket commune, Thanh Mien district; and the end point of the road intersects with provincial road 391 in Cong Lac commune, Tu Ky districtSix bridges are being built or renovated under the project, in which, Bac Hung Hai bridge connecting Ha Ky and Phuong Ky communes of Tu Ky district is the largest oneThe construction of Bac Hung Hai bridge is basically completed. The contractor has finished paving the bridge surface and building expansion jointsInstalling a lighting system on Bac Hung Hai bridgeThe contractor is concentrating human resources and machinery on the last work itemsWorkers actively do the final phase of the projectInstalling lighting poles and guardrailsThe East-West trunk-road will connect a lot of main routes, including Ha Noi – Hai Phong and Cau Gie – Ninh Binh expressways, national highways 38B, 37, and 10, and many provincial roads of Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Thai Binh… Some sections of the project are under construction and in operation at the same time. The entire route is expected to be opened to traffic this December
