Hai Duong’s industrial production index rises by 13.5% in 10 months
Hai Duong's industrial production has recovered from the damage caused by typhoon Yagi.
Hai Duong’s index of industrial production (IIP) saw a year-on-year increase of 13.5% over the past 10 months, according to the provincial Statistics Office.
Some key sectors posted a higher IIP compared to the same period last year, including electrical equipment (40.5%), textile (25%), garment (13.2%), metal (14%), and motor vehicles (13%) (mainly due to the manufacturing of auxiliary parts).
In October alone, the province’s IIP rose by 2.6% month on month and 14.3% year on year.
The result was achieved because production activities in the month were stabilized after negative impacts of typhoon Yagi in September had been overcome.
To ensure delivery progress, many enterprises increased working hours to offset the deficient output.
Hoa Phat's construction steel sales in all three regions of the country surged thanks to higher demand for civil construction and public investment projects.
The expansion of some enterprises, such as East Asia Aluminum JSC. and Shinyang Metal Vietnam Co., Ltd., also contributed to the growth.
