Vietnam Railways launches online map-based ticket sale
Vietnam Railways Corporation’s new service allows passengers to easily search for train schedules and purchase tickets online from anywhere in the world.
Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR) has officially launched a new feature of selling tickets via online maps to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the railway sector’s traditional day (October 21, 1946 - 2024).
Digital maps have appeared and gradually replaced paper ones due to the advancement of technology and the Internet, according to VNR leadership.
These tools have become one of the most popular applications globally, helping users find locations and routes for various means of transport.
Seizing this trend, VNR started selling tickets via online maps, allowing passengers to easily search for train schedules and purchase tickets online from anywhere in the world.
Besides, the platform provides schedules, service information and fares in multiple languages and allows international payment via Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay, facilitating ticket purchase for foreign tourists without the need for intermediaries.
"The selling of tickets via online maps can be seen as a continuation of our successful collaboration with e-wallets and other applications to diversify our sales channels and reach a broader customer base," said a VNR leader.
VNR has been continuously introducing new features and products in recent years to create more favorable conditions for customers and improve their experience as well as service quality, thereby boosting operational efficiency and marking significant progress in the company's digital transformation.
