Hai Duong ‘king of invention’ Pham Van Hat wins prize of 10th Agricultural Technical Innovation Contest
The oxygen water pump by Pham Van Hat in Tu Ky district, Hai Duong province has secured the encouragement prize of the 10th Agricultural Technical Innovation Contest.
A farmer in Tu Ky district, Hai Duong province has won the encouragement prize of the 10th Agricultural Technical Innovation Contest (2023-2024), organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union.
That is Pham Van Hat and his oxygen water pump in aquaculture, which saves two third of the electricity bill, while the amount of water circulated is double that of some similar products on the market. The pump is priced for less than 1 million VND, only 30% of the price of similar products.
Hat is dubbed ‘king of invention’ for having created many types of agricultural machines. His products are widely sold at home and abroad.
Hat is the second person in Hai Duong to win the Agricultural Technical Innovation Contest. The first one was Pham Van Quat in Thanh Mien district with his cross-bred carp production method which improved reproductive capacity and the hatching rate in artificial reproduction of carp.
The award ceremony of this year’s contest is scheduled for October 3.
