Vientiane leaders pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh
A delegation from Vientiane, Laos laid wreaths and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum on September 18 morning on the occasion of their ongoing working visit to Hai Duong province.
The delegation was accompanied by Head of the Hai Duong Party Committee's Popularization and Education Board Nguyen Quang Phuc, who is also Chairman of the provincial Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association, and leaders of several departments of Hai Duong province.
At a reception for the delegation, Colonel Pham Van Hieu, Deputy Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command, wished the twinning relationship between Vientiane and Hai Duong provinces would be increasingly strong and developed, contributing positively to the friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
Vientiane Governor Khamphanh Sitthidampha, on behalf of the delegation, was thankful for the warm and thoughtful welcome for his delegation.
Vientiane will, together with Hai Duong province, continue to have many practical activities to promote the twinning relationship between the two localities and the solidarity between the two countries and the two peoples of Vietnam and Laos so as to forever preserve the friendship between the two countries, the official said.
