Made-in-Hai Duong products go global
With signs of recovery of the world economy along with efforts of businesses, Hai Duong's export has seen improvements and regained growth momentum. Made-in-Hai Duong products are truly going global.
Nissei Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd. in Phuc Dien industrial park, Cam Giang district, Hai Duong province specializes in manufacturing printer components, but, it is also producing car camera components and medical equipment this year.
The company’s products are mainly exported to Japan, Thailand, and China. Despite no market expansion, the numbers of orders and customers of the company are increasing with a production plan till 2027 and stable orders.
Free trade agreements have promoted growth and global connectivity, creating opportunities for member countries to restructure their import-export markets in a positive direction, improve the export environment, and create more jobs, according to a representative of Regent Garment Factory Ltd. in the province’s Kim Thanh district.
Hence, the company’s orders in 2024 increase by 70% compared to the previous year. The firm manufactures more than 60,000 products/day, mostly exported to European countries, and its production plan even fills the whole year of 2025.
Aside from high-tech and garment products, Hai Duong is also a reputable exporter of agricultural products.
With about 500 ha of vegetables, tubers and fruits in all districts of the province, Hoang Nam Phat Cooperative in Hai Duong city daily exports some 100 tons of vegetables, tubers and fruits to Laos, Thailand, South Korea, India, Malaysia, etc.
“In the coming time, our cooperative will continue to expand production and connect members in other provinces and cities to meet the demand of export markets,” said Ho Viet Hoan, Director of Hoang Nam Phat Cooperative.
In the first seven months of 2024, Hai Duong’s export value approximated to 5.699 billion USD, up 7.9% year on year.
Garment and textile remained the main export industry of the province with a value of 1.230 billion USD, followed by machinery and equipment, computers and electronic components, and footwear with 807 million USD, 762 million USD, and 426 million USD, respectively.
The main export markets were the US, the European Union, Japan, etc., in which the US made up the largest proportion of 1.762 billion USD in export turnover in the first seven months of 2024, an increase of 10% compared to the same period last year.
With Hai Duong’s recent growth rate and the positive recovery of the world economy, the province is striving to achieve a total export turnover of 11.8 billion USD in 2024, a rise of over 20% against the previous year.
