Hai Duong's 7-month export turnover up nearly 8%
Hai Duong's export value grew relatively evenly partly thanks to businesses’ active search on and expansion of consumption and export markets.
Hai Duong province’s export value reached 949 million USD in July and 5.699 billion USD in the first seven months of 2024, up 11.4% and 7.9% year on year, respectively, according to the provincial Statistics Office.
The main export items of Hai Duong were garments, textiles, footwear, electronic components, electric wires and cables, cement, iron, and steel; and the US, the European Union (EU), and Japan were among the province’s main export markets.

The recovering economy helped enterprises have more export orders. Besides, functional authorities regularly updated and guided businesses to promptly comply with revised documents and circulars related to the origin of goods and trade agreements.
The recovery of production and an increase in demand for imported machinery, equipment, and raw materials for production pushed Hai Duong’s July import value to 698 million USD, up 6.5% over the same period last year.
The province’s import turnover in the first seven months of the year is estimated at 4.561 billion USD, a rise of 6.6% compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
Raw materials and accessories for garments, footwear, electronic components, automobiles, etc. were the main imported goods of the province.
