Main-crop Thanh Ha lychees priced highest ever

Many people could not buy main-crop lychees in Thanh Ha district, Hai Duong province on June 6 morning because of their unprecedentedly high price.

Fine main-crop Thanh Ha lychees were sold for 85,000 VND/kg in gardens on June 6 morning (the 1^st day of the 5^th lunar month), about 60,000 VND/kg higher than the same time last year.

This is an unprecedented high price of Thanh Ha lychees in the main season because of a poor yield and high market demand on the 1^st day of the lunar month compared to normal days.

The remaining early-ripening lychees in Thanh Ha are no longer significant and being sold for 40,000 – 50,000 VND/kg.
