Seven new bridges to be built on East-West trunk-road’s section in Kim Thanh district
The 15.74 km long route will contribute to connecting many industrial parks and clusters in the region.
Phase 2 of a project to build the East-West trunk-road’s section through Kim Thanh district of Hai Duong province is expected to begin this June and finish by the end of 2025.

It consists of the East-West trunk-road’s section and a path to an overpass over national highway 5, passing through the communes of Co Dung, Tuan Viet, Kim Xuyen, Ngu Phuc, Kim Anh, Kim Tan, Dong Cam, and Tam Ky in Kim Thanh district.
The section is 14.47 km long, with the starting point in Co Dung commune and the ending point in Tam Ky commune.
There will be seven new bridges on the section, namely Kim Xuyen, Kim Xuyen I, Kim Xuyen II, Phu Thai I, and Phu Thai II, all 75 m long; Kim Tan, 113 m long; and Cam La, 43 m long.
The section will also have two intersections in Ngu Phuc and Tam Ky communes.
The project has a total investment of 803 billion VND. Phase 1 started in late July 2022. Construction units are completing the final items to meet the schedule, with the route expected to open this June.
