First batch of Thanh Ha lychees in 2024 to fly to Australia on May 14
Australia is a traditional market that has consumed Thanh Ha lychees for years.
Ho Chi Minh city-based Red Dragon Co., Ltd. is preliminarily processing about one ton of early-ripening lychees for export to Australia, according to director of the company Mai Xuan Thin.
The lychees, meeting VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards, were purchased in Thanh Ha on May 11.
They are being irradiated today after careful screening and preliminary processing to satisfy quarantine criteria and will be shipped to Australia on May 14 by air.
Red Dragon Co., Ltd. is an experienced enterprise in exporting Thanh Ha lychees to major markets like Japan, the US, the Netherlands, Australia, and Canada.
The company plans to buy 10 – 15 tons of early-ripening lychees each day when they ripen more profusely for export.
This year, the firm continues to invite Japanese experts to monitor the quality of lychees and jointly take Thanh Ha lychees into AEON Malls in Japan.
