Hai Duong Party chief works with China’s Jilin leaders
Hai Duong and Jilin leaders expressed their desire to strengthen cooperation between the two localities.
Secretary of the Party Committee of Hai Duong province Tran Duc Thang had a meeting with leaders of China’s Jilin province and a number of businesses in the locality on March 19.
This was part of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) delegation’s visit to China under the leadership of Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee cum Chairman of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations.
Thang informed the Chinese side about Hai Duong’s potential, competitive advantages as well as socio-economic achievements, emphasizing the role of foreign investors, including Chinese ones, in Hai Duong’s development.
Investment from mainland China and Hong Kong (China) made up about 47% of more than 11 billion USD in foreign direct investment (FDI) in Hai Duong province.
FDI projects created jobs for many local laborers and effectively contributed to the State budget, Thang affirmed.
“Hai Duong has been creating all favorable conditions for foreign enterprises to invest in the province with quick administrative procedures and attractive preferential policies,” said Thang.
Hai Duong has 17 industrial parks covering a total area of 2,738 ha, ready to welcome investors, the provincial Party chief added.
Hai Duong targets more projects using high, clean, and eco-friendly technology and projects having large investments and potential to create competitive products with large export proportion in international markets.
Secretary of the Jilin provincial Party Committee Jing Junhai expressed his desire to promote cooperation between Jilin province and localities of Vietnam, especially Hai Duong, in Jilin’s strong fields such as automobile manufacturing, railway carriage supply, high-tech agriculture, eco-tourism...
The Jilin leader would soon send a delegation to Vietnam to promote cooperation with localities in the country, including Hai Duong.
On this occasion, Secretary of the Hai Duong provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang visited the headquarters of China's leading carmaker FAW Group Co., Ltd. and a subsidiary of CRRC Corporation Ltd.
