Farmers in Kim Thanh district, Hai Duong province are excitedly harvesting a bumper crop of jicamas for sale at high prices.
There are more than 400 ha of jicamas with a productivity of 2.7 – 3 tons/ sao (360 m²) in Kim Thanh district this winter crop, equivalent to last year’s figures. Jicamas are sold for 10,000 – 12,000 VND/kg in the fields, 5,000 – 6,000 VND/kg higher than the same period last year.
