10-month industrial production index up 7.6%
Some sectors with large proportions recorded high indexes that greatly affected the overall index of the provincial industry.
Hai Duong province’s index of industrial production in the first 10 months of 2023 increased by 7.6% over the same period last year, according to the provincial Statistics Office.
In October alone, the index fell by 0.3% month on month but rose by 7.3% year on year.
Some sectors with large proportions recorded high indexes that greatly affected the overall index of the industry.
For example, motor vehicle production posted an increase of 21.8%; electricity production and distribution, 17%; food production and processing, 9.7%; and electronic product manufacturing, 3.6%.
Several other sectors saw negative growth due to the effects of inflation and economic recession.
