China’s Boway Group and Waffer Technology Corporation from China’s Taiwan would like to soon be granted investment registration certificates and provided with infrastructure conditions to speed up project implementation in Hai Duong province.

Representatives of the two companies made the request at a reception by Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang at the committee’s headquarters on October 25.

Boway Group has proposed a project to build a BoViet solar cell production factory in the province’s Cong Hoa industrial park, according to its representative Xia Zhao Chun.

Phase 1 of the project includes the construction of workshops on 20 ha of land with an investment of 2,820 billion VND, Xia said, adding that all products will be exported to the US and European countries.

About 10 million products are expected to be exported to the US and Europe each year when the factory comes into operation.

Both companies were committed to fulfill their financial obligations and pay attention to environmental protection and regimes and policies for employees.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang expressed his pleasure to welcome leaders of the two enterprises.

He affirmed that the province always facilitates businesses’ exploration and investment, especially in projects using high technology, creative and supporting industries.

Thang required the provincial Industrial Parks Authority and relevant departments and localities to pay attention, assist the investors in completing legal procedures, and grant them investment registration certificates within this November.

The secretary of the provincial Party Committee asked Boway Group and Waffer Technology Corporation to closely coordinate with related bodies to remove difficulties and obstacles to soon put the projects into operation.

“The enterprises must strictly comply with legal regulations, fulfill tax obligations, and care about environmental protection during project implementation,” said Thang.

The provincial Party chief recommended the two companies to contact universities and vocational schools in the province to work out association plans for manpower training and supply.

The official agreed to Boway Group's proposal for arranging land to build free housing for workers.

Cong Hoa industrial park has so far attracted nine secondary investment projects with an occupancy rate of 78%.

The industrial park approached four new secondary investors in 2023, two of them have submitted project registration documents to the provincial Public Administration Service Center.
