611 gift boxes for disadvantaged women and girls in Cam Giang district
Women and girls in difficult circumstances in Hai Duong will be given over 173,000 sets of underwear worth about 16.4 billion VND.
The Good Neighbors International (GNI) in Vietnam and France’s Hoa Trang - Fleur Blanche association jointly presented 611 gift boxes to women and adolescent girls in difficult circumstances in Cam Giang district, Hai Duong province on October 15.
The delegation directly gave gifts to 50 disadvantaged women and girls in the district’s Lai Cach town.
Women and girls in difficult circumstances in Thanh Ha district and Hai Duong city will also be gifted this time.
The presents consist of over 173,000 sets of underwear worth about 16.4 billion VND.
The activity is being done thanks to connection by the provincial Friendship Cooperation Center and Women's Unions at all levels to celebrate Vietnamese Women's Day (October 20).
GNI is a non-governmental organization founded in the Republic of Korea in 1991 to assist children’s education, community development, health, environmental hygiene, and disaster relief projects.
The organization is currently present in 48 countries and territories to support about 17 million people, including approximately 10 million children.
It has helped over 10,000 children in Vietnam since official operation in the country in 2005.
