Hai Duong’s nine-month economy grows by 7%
Hai Duong’s economic growth rate in the first nine months of 2023 was higher than the national average.
Hai Duong province’s economic growth rate in the first nine months of 2023 was estimated at 7%, higher than the national average of 4.24%, according to the provincial Statistics Office.
The agro-forestry-fishery sector expanded by 3.15% during the period, mainly thanks to stable breeding and aquaculture activities, no epidemics, high selling prices, and farmers’ concentration on restocking and production expansion.
Industrial production in the province showed signs of recovery from the second half of August, with slight increases in the industrial production index and import value, resulting in an overall rise of 7.82% in industry.
The construction sector posted a fairly high rise of 5.87% thanks to completion of legal procedure processing and site clearance for a number of projects to develop traffic infrastructure, industrial parks, and industrial clusters to start construction.
Commercial activities remained good despite many unfavorable factors caused by an upward tendency of prices of raw materials.
The service sector recorded a rise of 6.45% due to the impact of minimum wage increase, and taxes and product subsidies rose by 9.17%.
