Hai Duong province was hit by moderate and heavy rain, even thunderstorms in some places, from the morning of June 24 to June 25.

The common rainfall was 30 – 60 mm.

Kinh Mon provincial town recorded the highest rainfall of 153.2 mm, followed by Kim Thanh district and Chi Linh city’s Ben Tam ward with 101 mm and 97.6 mm, respectively.

Downpours forced Chi Linh Irrigation Works Exploitation Enterprise to open six floodgates of Phu Loi reservoir in Ben Tam ward, three floodgates of the exterior Ben Tam reservoir in Hoang Tan ward, and Ho Ven irrigation reservoir on June 25 morning.

Thanks to proactive discharge of water, most localities in the province did not have to run drainage pumping stations, except for Viet Hung Pumping Station in Tuan Viet commune, Kim Thanh district, and Le Ninh Pumping Station in Le Ninh commune, Kinh Mon provincial town, on June 25 afternoon.

Natural disaster risks caused by showers, whirlwinds, and lighting are at the first warning level.
