Since the arrival of several whales last year, Vung Boi Beach has emerged as a destination for nature enthusiasts and scuba divers.

Starting from De Gi Seaport in Cat Khanh commune, Phu Cat district of Binh Dinh province, the voyage begins approximately 50 kilometers north of Quy Nhon city.

Tourists board ships from De Gi Seaport, around 4 km away from Vung Boi Beach in Vinh Loi village, My Thanh commune, Phu My district.

Visitors can avail themselves of a package deal for three days and two nights, priced at approximately VND1,500,000 ($64).

This package includes meals, fishing, night squid fishing, boat rides, and homestay accommodation.

Aside from the pristine beaches of Vung Boi, travelers can also explore Hon Trau Island, a little-known island of untouched beauty.

Alternatively, they can explore Chanh Trach village, renowned for its winter melons, with each weighing 40 to 60 kg. For those with limited time, shorter tours are available at a reduced cost.

Once reaching Vung Boi Beach, visitors travel to the peninsula by canoe and then proceed to unload supplies such as gas, kitchen equipment, camping gear, and food ashore.

Diving is a popular activity in Vung Boi Beach. Skilled swimmers with adequate strength can partake in guided fishing expeditions for fish, squid, and octopus.

Do Thanh Toan (Tommy Toan), a seasoned diver and experienced instructor for guests, recommends diving to witness the coral reefs.

Families often opt to explore the vicinity near the rocky beach, ensuring the safety of their children. These groups commonly partake in swimming and hanging around on the sandy shores.

Crab catching serves as a memorable experience for families. Van Linh, a tourist from Quang Ngai province, said that catching crabs is not easy, but the excitement it brings makes it worthwhile. Catching crabs can be challenging, even with coordinated efforts.

The jade-blue sea, enclosed by rocks in the De Gi - Vung Boi waters, resembles a lake amid the ocean.

Aside from scuba diving, crab catching, and fishing, visitors can savor the local delicacies such as sashimi fish, grilled fish and oysters.

From underwater wonders to sandy shores, one can witness or climb the sand dunes, spanning over 5 square kilometers, featuring wave-like patterns.

Camping is an integral part of the Vung Boi experience, allowing guests to spend the night and enjoy the following day's adventures.

Thanks to the enthusiastic tourists exploring the area, Do Thanh Toan discovered a whale hunting site last year. It has generated significant media coverage and increased interest in the De Gi - Vung Boi tour.

"As we travel, we prioritize maintaining cleanliness in Vung Boi Beach, and visitors are also committed to keeping the area litter-free, preserving its everlasting beauty," said Do Cuong, one of the tour guides.
