Main-crop Thanh Ha lychee is a specialty of Hai Duong province and the pride of Thanh Ha people thanks to its outstanding quality and sustainable brand.

The fruit also has a very sweet taste, a typical aroma, and a long aftertaste, making it very famous.

The reputation of Thanh Ha lychee brand is becoming increasingly stable in domestic and international markets.

Bui Thi Bich Thuy, a tourist from Ha Noi, only bought lychees to eat in previous seasons but was determined to come to Hai Duong this year to personally pick delicious lychees and admire the rare and precious ancestral lychee tree in Thanh Son commune, Thanh Ha district.

“What a precious fruit! Lychees here are much more scrumptious than those we bought in Ha Noi markets. I will buy some for my relatives,” said Thuy.

Thanh Ha lychee has also been exported to many countries for years.

Besides the traditional market of China, which always consumes large quantities of lychee, Japan, the US, Australia, France, Thailand... are gradually accepting Thanh Ha lychee as a habit whenever its season comes.

Foreigners are fond of Vietnamese lychee, especially Thanh Ha one, said Ngo Thi Thu Hong, Director-general of Ameii Vietnam JSC., adding that her company often receives more orders in the following year than the previous one.

Lychees grown by the enterprise’s cooperative in Thuy Lam hamlet, Thanh Son commune, meet standards for export to Japan and many other markets, according to Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors Nguyen Khac Tien.

The cooperative's lychee output reached nearly 100 tons this year, 99% of which were exported to Japan, the EU, and Middle East countries.

“Our company had exported more than 1,000 tons of early lychees by June 10 and plans to export over 1,000 tons of main-crop ones,” said Tien. 

Red Dragon Co., Ltd. has also taken Thanh Ha lychees to Japan, Australia, and the US.

It takes a long time to bring lychees to these countries (18 days by sea on average); however, the company is still trying to apply technical advances to guarantee the quality of Thanh Ha lychees upon arrival.


Thanh Ha lychee is of outstanding quality


Members of Thanh Ha Agricultural Product Purchasing and Processing Cooperative have exported more than 1,000 tons of lychees to China, mostly Beijing and Shanghai, according to the cooperative’s representative Le Van Khoi.

They do not worry about sale thanks to years of exporting stable quantities of lychees to this market.

Thanh Ha district has recently coordinated with the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to announce the successful export of Thanh Ha lychees to Japan, the US, Australia, and Europe in 2023 and the presence of Thanh Ha lychees on Vietnam Airlines’ in-flight menu.

This was an important event, which once again affirmed the quality of Thanh Ha lychee.
