Hai Duong province lured nearly 210 million USD in FDI as of the beginning of June, according to the Department of Planning and Investment.

Specifically, there were 27 new projects worth 152.5 million USD and 16 existing projects receiving an additional investment of 55 million USD.

The rest was from capital contributions and share purchases.

All of the FDI was poured into the processing and manufacturing industry.

Most of the new FDI projects came from the countries and territories of China, Hong Kong (China), Taiwan (China), the Republic of Korea, Germany, etc.

This year’s FDI attraction was equivalent to last year’s figure but recorded 4.5- and 6-time increases in the number of projects and registered capital year on year, respectively.

The province aims to attract 410 million USD in FDI and disburse 750 million USD or more this year.

FDI businesses are expected to earn 7 billion USD in revenue and pay more than 400 million USD to the State budget.
