Three grade-schoolers from Hai Duong province have won third prize in the "Vietnamese children reaching out to the world" contest.

Nguyen Thi Truc Phuong, Nguyen Ngoc Linh Huong, and Pham Thanh Truc, pupils of Cong Hoa Primary School in Chi Linh city, Hai Duong province, have won third prize in the "Vietnamese children reaching out to the world" contest.

They entered the final round of the contest in Ho Chi Minh city on May 31 and June 1.

The team displayed typical images and outstanding handicrafts of Cambodia, the country they drew, such as salak, Apsara and Buddha statues.

The three pupils then delivered a presentation of the famous Apsara dance of Cambodia in English.

Earlier, the team came second in the semi-final round and was one of 13 best teams reaching the final round thanks to their speech on Kiep Bac lotus tea in English.

The "Vietnamese children reaching out to the world" contest was organized by the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Vanguard Children's Union to create an environment for pupils to emulate each other at learning, develop their capacity, improve themselves, and hone their English skills through learning and entertainment activities.
