This year’s lychee yield in Chi Linh city is estimated at 15,000 tons, up 2,000 tons year on year.
This is the result of favorable weather and farmers’ compliance with the care process.
Chi Linh city is home to more than 3,300 ha of lychees, concentrated in the wards and communes of Ben Tam, Bac An, Hoang Hoa Tham, Le Loi, Hoang Tan, Hoang Tien…
About 10 ha of lychees meet GlobalGAP, and more than 300 ha are cultivated under VietGAP.
Most of lychees in the city are main-crop ones, which will be harvested from around June 10.
Chi Linh lychees are mainly consumed in the domestic market.
