Kim Thanh to promote inner force for faster development

Secretary of the Hai Duong provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang praised Kim Thanh district’s achievements over the past time during his working session with the district Party Committee’s Standing Board on May 24.

Thang required the district to bring into play its inner force to develop faster as the results were not commensurate with the locality’s potential and strengths.

The district must prioritize key and urgent works and projects with clear phases and avoid waste and poor efficiency, said Thang.

Especially, Kim Thanh needs to have orientation and pay attention to investing in works and projects that can motivate the development of the district and its localities, and accelerate the implementation of underway works and projects, Thang recommended.

The provincial Party Committee secretary noted that Kim Thanh district should enhance the operational efficiency of industrial parks and clusters and give priority to reputable and capable investors with practical contributions to development and improvement of people’s lives.

“The district should care about ensuring social security, exploiting resources, and calling for investment in the fields of education and health along with economic development,” said Thang.

Kim Thanh fulfilled and overfulfilled 16 out of 18 socio-economic development targets in 2022, reported Secretary of the district Party Committee Le Anh Dung.

The district made the breakthrough of jumping from the 10th place in the province in terms of Public Administration Reform Index in 2021 to the 2nd place.

Kim Thanh is now stepping up the execution of works and projects, especially important traffic ones, including the construction of the east-west trunk-road’s section in the district (phase 1) and renovation of the intersection of national highway 17B and road September 20 at km15+835 in Phu Thai township.

On the morning of the same day, leaders of the province had a field trip to the construction sites of the east-west trunk-road’s section in Kim Thanh district and Turbine Vietnam Factory (UBI) in Kim Xuyen commune.
