“It takes only seven minutes for each stage of producing a Ford car. If we do not understand the process, techniques, and technology, we cannot meet this requirement,” said Nguyen Quang Thang, a worker of Ford Motor Company’s Hai Duong factory.

Ford Hai Duong is one of the first automobile factories in Vietnam to achieve the quality certificates of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, QS 9000, ISO/TS16949-2002, etc.

This is also one of Ford Motor’s key factories in the Asia-Pacific region.

Therefore, more than 1,000 employees of the factory have to adapt to new and increasingly advanced and modern technologies and production processes.

Technology in the garment industry is increasingly modern and can replace many manual production stages, said Tran Thi Vuong, Administrative and Human Resource Manager of Regent Garment Factory Ltd. in Lai Vu industrial park, Kim Thanh district.

The business takes the initiative in training and retraining employees whenever technology changes. Each employee must also learn and improve skills by himself/herself, said Vuong.

“Nearly 15% of our company’s employees graduated from universities and colleges. Many of them are eager to learn and can use technology proficiently, thus holding important positions,” added Vuong.

Regular skill improvement at enterprises and intensive training at vocational schools are very important to have digital workers with good professional skills.

Hai Duong Vocational College has spent on a lot of modern machines and equipment for practice to meet enterprises’ requirements of digital transformation and technological innovation, said rector Vu Trung Hieu.

“Our college also focuses on improving trainees’ foreign language, computing, and industrial working skills and style,” added Hieu.

Human resources with skills and the ability to apply advanced and modern technologies are now an important key to solving productivity problems at enterprises in Hai Duong in particular and Vietnam in general.

Digital workers will help businesses go faster and develop more sustainably. If every business is a digital transformation train, employees are not allowed to miss it.
