Laborers excited at higher vocational training support level

Laborers carry out procedures to enjoy unemployment allowances at the Hai Duong Employment Service Center

The above support level has given unemployed laborers an opportunity for vocational training to find a suitable job guaranteeing their lives, so they are very excited.

This is a correct, timely, and humane policy.

Laborers can choose to learn any profession on the profession list as prescribed by the law on vocational education like driving, tailoring, welding, carpentry, etc.

After learning, laborers are also counseled and introduced suitable jobs.

To enjoy this policy, laborers must satisfy four conditions, namely termination of their labor contracts in accordance with legal provisions, submission of dossiers to enjoy unemployment allowances, no job found in 15 days after dossier submission, and payment of unemployment insurance for nine months or more within 24 months before termination of their labor contracts.

The period of vocational training support is calculated based on the actual learning time but no more than six months/ course, and the support is a one-off for laborers to study at vocational training institutions.

As for those attending vocational training courses of up to three months, the support is calculated based on the tuition fee of the vocational training institutions and the actual vocational learning time but no more than VND4.5 million/ person/ course.

Regarding participants in vocational training courses of more than three months, the support is calculated based on the months, tuition fee, and actual vocational learning time but no more than VND1.5 million/ person/ month.

The budget for vocational training support is paid from the Unemployment Insurance Fund by social insurance bodies.
