Dao Co (Stork Island) eco-tourism site in An Duong hamlet, Chi Lang Nam commune, Thanh Mien district, covers an area of over 90,000 m2.

This is the shelter of about 22,000 storks, night herons, and many other kinds of birds.

Besides, Dao Co also has a rich and diverse aquatic system, including five types of fish listed in the Red Book of Vietnam.

Over many generations, people in Chi Lang Nam commune have contributed to preserving Dao Co almost intact, helping storks and night herons have a place to live and reproduce.

Below are some photos taken in Dao Co by reporters of the Hai Duong Newspaper:

Dao Co has two main islets, 3A and 3B. The construction of artificial islet 4C with an area of over 17,000 m2 has not finished because of ground problems

This is the shelter of about 22,000 storks, night herons, and many other kinds of birds. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the number of visitors has decreased, making more and more storks and night herons come to nest

Every year, the breeding season of storks and night herons lasts from March to May. Unlike other seasons of the year, during the period, parent storks and night herons often fly back to their nests to feed their birdies. Hence, the scenery and space are more bustling

To move around the islets, visitors can go by some kinds of boat with ticket prices 20,000 - 50,000 VND/person
