Hai Duong Power conducts a drill to ensure stable and safe power supply during the 31st SEA Games
According to a leader of Hai Duong Power Co., Ltd., as soon as Hai Duong was chosen to host the table tennis event of the 31st SEA Games, related work was immediately carried out, with stable and safe power supply for the largest sporting event in Southeast Asia considered a particularly important task.
Special attention is paid to strengthening management, operation, inspection, and review and thoroughly handling defects in the power grid.
Since mid-April, the company has made plans and directed specific issues like ensuring power supply during the 31st SEA Games and rearranging the power grid in Hai Duong city to welcome the 31st SEA Games, assigned the improvement of 477E8.1, 473E8.13, and 475E8.13 lines, and installed a 250 kVA generator to provide stable electricity for the 31st SEA Games, another 250 kVA generator and two new cable lines as backups to ensure stable power supply.
Hai Duong City Electricity is tasked with managing and operating medium voltage lines providing main and backup power for venues for competition, practice, and accommodation of players.
The unit has assigned staff members to be on duty to serve the 31st SEA Games, including crews for operation and generators at the competition venue.
There are four regular managers and operators at the Gymnasium. Watches are arranged at all 110kV substations having medium voltage feeders directly supplying power for the 31st SEA Games.
Hai Duong City Electricity has coordinated with the Gymnasium to check equipment and power systems, thereby replacing old and poor equipment at the substation in the Gymnasium and installing additional circuit breakers to flexibly supply electricity from different sources and coordinated with the city People's Committee and telecommunications operators to rearrange power lines and telecommunications cables on main roads like Bui Thi Xuan, Thanh Nien, Le Thanh Nghi, and Truong Chinh to ensure safety and urban beauty.
The company has re-set up watches with three shifts and four two-member crews at Dong Nien and Ngoc Son 110 kV substations with medium voltage feeders directly supplying power for the competition venue.
It also collaborated with the Gymnasium to plan a drill to ensure stable power supply at competition and practice venues. The drill was witnessed by the local Table Tennis Organizing Committee and considered a success.
Power systems at the competition venue (Gymnasium), practice venue (Xu Dong Cultural Center), and accommodation of teams (Nam Cuong Hotel) are being operated smoothly.
