Nearly 1,400 billion VND invested in upgrading provincial road 391's section from Hai Duong city to East-West trunk-road

During the 7th session, the People's Council of Hai Duong province considered the upgrading and expansion of provincial road 391's section from ring road 1 in Hai Duong city to the provincial East-West trunk-road.

The route is about 14.2 km long, including around 2.02 km in Hai Duong city and approximately 12.18 km in Tu Ky district.

The project is divided into three parts, in which the 1st and 3rd parts coincides with provincial road 391, while the 2nd part is a bypass of provincial road 391's section passing through Tu Ky township to Van To commune.

The 1st and 3rd parts will be renovated and upgraded according to the scale of a 3rd-grade plain road. The new part (the bypass) will be 42 m wide, but in this period of investment division, it will have a 21 m wide foundation and a 12 m wide surface.

There will be an overpass above Ha Noi – Hai Phong expressway and a bridge at km9+750 with a width of 12m.

The project is assigned to the provincial Construction and Investment Project Management Board as the investor.

Investment is taken from the provincial budget following the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 and 2026-2030 periods, including about 500 billion VND in the 2021-2025 period and around 892.67 billion VND in the 2026-2030 period.

In the 2021-2025 period, priority will be given to site clearance, renovation and upgrading of about 5 km at densely populated locations, and construction of a bypass approximately 2.2 km long to complete the connection of all bypasses of provincial road 391 through Tu Ky township.

In the 2026-2030 period, grounds will be cleared, and the remaining sections and the two bridges in the project will be built.

Upon completion, the project will enhance the efficiency of the route exploitation, ensure traffic safety, meet increasing traffic requirements, and contribute to the local socio-economic development.
