A lot of people said that Ngu Nhac mountain shares many similarities in nature and climate with Da Lat
Besides beautiful scenery, Ngu Nhac also has a cool and fresh climatic sub-zone that makes many people interested.
Setting foot on Ngu Nhac, visitors will clearly feel a change of weather. The higher they climb, the more evidently the temperature changes, and fatigue seems to disappear.
Often stopping by Ngu Nhac, Nguyen Hung Cuong in Le Loi ward, Chi Linh city, said: "It's unnecessary to go far since Chi Linh also has a place similar to Da Lat."
Together with Ky Lan, Ngu Nhac mountain in Le Loi commune, Chi Linh city, is a sacred mountain range in the north, contributing to forming the famous landscape of Con Son. The two mountain ranges originate from Huyen Dinh and Yen Tu ranges.
According to the Management Board of Con Son – Kiep Bac Relics, Ngu Nhac mountain has five peaks stretching from north to south with a length of more than 4 km. The highest peak, standing at 238 m above sea level, is located to the northeast of Con Son.
On these peaks, people of ancient times built five shrines to worship the gods of five directions, so they were called "Ngu Nhac Linh Tu".
Ngu Nhac mountain rises from Yen Tu range of Dong Trieu bow with a sandy gravel structure and high humidity, helping flora thrive with many species like pine, small bamboo, forest tamarind and banana, and medicinal herbs.
Year-round thick lush forests cover all mountains; hence, Ngu Nhac always carries magical vitality and green. There is not only the sound of rustling leaves but also the murmur of streams, the chirping of birds, etc., creating a symphony of majestic Con Son mountains and forests.
Not only forming the beautiful scenery, the trees also give Ngu Nhac a unique and cool climatic sub-zone. Early climbers often encounter the scene of dim fog covering their path. When the sun rises, the fog gradually disappears, revealing a beautiful mountainous landscape. Many people cannot help considering Ngu Nhac Linh Tu a miniature Da Lat.
Before renovation, people had to go through forests and streams to reach Ngu Nhac mountain. By 2004, Ngu Nhac shrines and 1.8 km of walkways made of green stones had been renovated. Nowadays, visitors only need to stop at the outside parking lot before going to Con Son pagoda to start a journey to Ngu Nhac mountain.
