The processing and manufacturing industry is the bright spot of the province's industrial production index in July

Despite difficulties caused by high prices of input materials and the impact of inflation, the province’s industrial production index in July remained growing but the rate was lower than the earlier months of the year.

According to the provincial Statistics Office, the province’s industrial production index rose by 7.8% in July and 14.5% in the first seven months of the year compared to the same period last year.

While the processing and manufacturing industry grew by 10.9%, the production and distribution of electricity and gas fell by 12% year on year.

The reason is that in the last three months, hydroelectric power plants had an excess of water, so their operating capacity was cut down.

In the field of processing and manufacturing, eight key sectors recorded high growth rates compared to the same period last year, namely combined machine production (24.4%), generators (21%), motor vehicles carrying five people or more (17.5%), sport footwear (16.4%), clinker and cement (16.3%), electrical wires (7.9%), animal feed (5.8%), and integrated electronic circuits (5.3%).
