By 4.30 pm on October 17, the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs had received 248 dossiers from registrants for a Korean language test under South Korea's Employment Permit System (EPS) program.

Each registrant only has to pay a fee of 24 USD.

As planned, the department will continue to receive registration dossiers until the end of October 21.

This time, only laborers in Chi Linh city cannot register for the test because at least 70 workers from the locality are illegally residing in South Korea and more than 27% of local employees did not return home on time after their contracts had expired.

Laborers in the remaining localities who returned home on time after work in South Korea are still allowed to register for the test.

According to a representative of the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, compared to the 1st phase of registration for the Korean language test in July, the number of registrants in the 2nd phase sharply increased due to diverse recruitment industries, many of them wanted to take the test in manufacturing for good incomes.
