Hai Duong adds 300 ha of GAP vegetables, fruit trees

In 2022, over 1,500 ha of fruit trees and vegetables have been planted in Hai Duong province following VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards, up 300 ha over the previous year.

In which, there are more than 700 ha of fruit trees, and the rest are vegetables.

According to the provincial Sub-department of Cultivation and Plant Protection, cultivation regions of such vegetables as carrot, kohlrabi, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumber, and leafy vegetables continue to be maintained, expanded, and attached to product underwriting.

Underwritten vegetables were zoned with a scale of 3 - 5 ha/model in Gia Loc, Tu Ky, Cam Giang, and Nam Sach districts and Kinh Mon provincial town.

Apart from businesses contracting to buy in bulk for export, a lot of units and agricultural service cooperatives have associated with each other to sell vegetables in supermarket systems and chains of convenience stores.
