Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung presides over the 5th regular November meeting of the provincial People's Committee

At the meeting, Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Trieu The Hung highly appreciated the results of consulting departments, sectors, and local authorities in realizing 2022 socio-economic development tasks.

Despite many difficulties, the province has achieved noteworthy results in agricultural production, industry, commerce, tourism, etc.

However, the province has not accomplished a number of important tasks, such as slow provincial planning, less investment, obstacles in compensation for site clearance, unsatisfactory disbursement of public investment, etc.

The chairman of the provincial People's Committee required agencies and units to continue realizing 2022 socio-economic tasks in a drastic and concentrated manner.

Regarding socio-economic development targets for 2023, the Department of Planning and Investment should absorb comments of participants in the meeting, refer to and study measures of neighboring localities for flexible and creative application.

Director of the Department of Planning and Investment Le Hong Dien reports on the implementation of the province's socio-economic development plan in 2022 and an expected plan for 2023

According to the Department of Planning and Investment, the provincial economic growth rate in 2022 is estimated at 9.1%, failing to meet the planned rate of over 10%.

The province fulfilled or overfulfilled nine out of 16 targets. Those are domestic budget revenue, product value per hectare of cultivation and aquaculture land, communes meeting advanced new-style rural standards, trained workers, workers of insured age, cultural villages and residential areas, poverty rate, industrial clusters having concentrated wastewater treatment systems, and businesses having environmental impact assessment reports approved.

The seven unsatisfied targets are economic growth rate, total investment in economic development, number of enterprises registering for establishment, urbanization rate, health insurance rate, rate of nationally-standardized schools, and number of sickbeds/10,000 people.
