Thanh Hong pomelos eligible for export to USA

The Plant Protection Department has suggested the Sub-department of Cultivation and Plant Protection of Hai Duong province inform households involved in the coded growing area to begin production and export of fresh pomelos in conformity with the US’s regulations and strengthen supervision to ensure that the growing area always complies with importing countries’ regulations.

The pomelo growing area eligible for export to the US covers an area of 15 ha in Lap Le hamlet, Thanh Hong commune, with the participation of 59 farming households.

This is the only pomelo growing area in the province that has been granted a code with an average output of 20 – 25 tons/crop.
