Hoang Nam Phat Cooperative has exported more than 2,000 tons of watermelon, 800 tons of dragon fruit, and 200 tons of durian to the market ever since.
Director of the cooperative Ho Viet Hoang said Vietnamese exports to China have more advantages than those from other countries in terms of price, diversity, and transport time. His cooperative is expected to export 20,000 tons of agricultural products to China this year thanks to quick customs clearance procedures.

“We are buying onions from farmers in Hai Duong province and other Northern localities for export to some markets, including China. We will increase trade connections in the coming time to continue expanding export to China, with the goal of exporting about 3,000 tons of onions to the country this year,” said Nguyen Thi Mui, owner of the facility.
Meanwhile, Khoi Hue Co., Ltd has exported more than 70 tons of carrots to the Chinese market since its reopening.

In 2022, Hai Duong's export turnover exceeded 10.5 billion USD, up 6.6% over 2021, about 17% of which was contributed by the Chinese market.
The province's main agricultural products exported to China were lychee, longan, banana, etc.
Luong Thi Kiem, Deputy Director of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, said China's cancellation of Covid-19 testing at border gates enables quick customs clearance for agricultural exporters in Hai Duong.
The Chinese market has high requirements for the issuance of cultivation area codes, control of pesticide residues, and plants subject to quarantine. Hai Duong is one of the leading localities in the granting of cultivation area codes and management according to the standards of importing countries.
According to Hai Duong’s Department of Industry and Trade, both Vietnam and China are members of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), a large free trade market with a series of incentives for partners, especially export opportunities.
China's official reopening after three-year implementation of the “Zero Covid” policy allows delivery trucks to go directly to border gates for customs clearance and transport to the country. This international trade both opens opportunities for domestic businesses and requires closely monitoring of border trading and developments of the Chinese market to work out appropriate plans.
