Over 800 Vietnamese officers, soldiers join UN peacekeeping missions

The Vietnam People’s Army has deployed over 800 officers and professional soldiers to participate in United Nations (UN) peacekeeping operations since 2014, both individually and in units, winning high evaluations from UN leaders as well as the administrations and people in the host countries.

They were urged to demonstrate courage and competence, thereby contributing to promoting the positive image of Vietnam, its people and the Vietnam People’s Army on the international stage.
