The school has 530 6th graders, 310 of them were not vaccinated due to infection with Covid-19 fewer than three months ago.
Out of the remaining 220 pupils, 183 registered for immunization, and 37 disagreed with the injection.
On the morning of April 19, most of the pupils registering for vaccination were taken to the injection site on time by their parents or relatives.
The Hai Duong Center for Disease Control has allocated 18,200 doses of Mordena vaccine granted by the Ministry of Health to the province’s districts, cities, and town for immunization of children aged 5 – 11.
All pupils are thoroughly examined before injection
The Ministry of Health has decided to offer Hai Duong 26,000 more doses of Mordena vaccine to carry out the above campaign. The vaccine doses are expected to arrive in the next few days.
As reviewed by the provincial Department of Health, 134,188 out of 237,810 children from 5 to under 12 years old in the province are eligible for Covid-19 vaccination.
Hai Duong authorities will vaccinate 6th graders in phase 1, 1st – 5th graders in phase 2 (both at educational institutions), and the remaining children, including those not attending educational institutions, at fixed injection sites (medical stations) in phase 3.
Children who are cautious about vaccination will be instructed to register for injection at district health centers, the provincial Center for Disease Control, or some provincial hospitals.
