Hai Duong aims to build images of civilized, studious, aspirational people

The culture, sports and tourism (CST) sector should continue to realize and fulfill targets and tasks in 2024, suggested Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Hai Duong province Nguyen Minh Hung at a recent meeting.

The official also recommended the sector to focus on in-depth and thorough research on the culture and identity of the provincial people.

Propaganda and raising of the awareness and responsibility of Party committees, authorities, and residential communities about the position, role, and impact of culture in social life should be strengthened to realize Central bodies’ direction to place culture on par with economy, politics, and society, Hung noted.

The vice chairman also suggested improvement of the quality and effectiveness of the movement “All people unite to build a cultural life”.

“Special importance should be attached to building and developing family culture towards fulfilling the goal of building images of civilized, studious, and aspirational Hai Duong people to meet development requirements in the new situation,” Hung emphasized.

He asked the sector to work out measures to develop Hai Duong tourism with unique and fascinating features to lure more tourists, gradually making tourism a truly important economic sector of the province.

It is necessary to continue investing in and strongly developing high-performance sports in an advanced, modern, and internationally-integrated direction, Hung concluded.
