Six comments at the seminar "Proposing solutions to implement the construction of smart cities (ĐTTM) in Hai Duong province in the 2020-2025 period with an orientation towards 2030" have offered valuable suggestions to Hai Duong province.

In the morning of 1st December, the provincial Department of Information and Communications, the Union of Science and Technology Associations, the provincial Construction Association jointly held a seminar on "Proposing solutions to implement the construction of smart cities (ĐTTM) in Hai Duong province in the 2020-2025 period with an orientation towards 2030".
Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee emphasized that in December 2019, the provincial Party Committee issued a resolution, and the provincial People's Council made a decision to invest in building e-government and smart cities. Although there are still many difficulties in human resources, over the past time, the deployment of building smart cities in Hai Duong has achieved initial results in the fields of industry, agriculture, energy, environment, infrastructure, health, education .....
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee requested the delegates to actively share solutions and experience in building and developing smart cities; to focus on assessing opportunities, challenges and to offer solutions to the construction and development of smart cities in Hai Duong, helping Hai Duong to soon fulfill its goal of becoming a strong information technology province, completing e-government and developing smart cities.
At the seminar, there were 6 opinions from the representatives of departments, sectors, domestic and foreign experts to clarify the definition of building smart cities; the evidence of smart city models in the world; the planning and implementation of smart cities.....
Dr. Nguyen Nhat Quang, Director of the Institute of Science- Technology VINASA (STI) suggested that Hai Duong should build sustainable smart cities. "Hai Duong should pay attention to mention 6 key points in the planning: smart governance, smart residents, smart economy, smart environment, smart moving and smart living; Should build a genuine social network, each resident has a unique city network account, thereby interacting with each other reliably and securely ", Mr. Quang suggested.

Concluding the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Cao Thang- the Director of the provincial Department of Information and Communications evaluated that the comments at the seminar were unique ideas of scientific and practical foundations, helping Hai Duong to promote outstanding potentials for seeking a suitable way to develop smart cities.
